Overview

Located in the heart of Brooklyn at 2222 Avenue U, Anor Restaurant offers an inviting window into authentic Uzbek cuisine. This cozy, well-kept eatery combines a warm atmosphere with a menu rich in traditional flavors, appealing to families, food enthusiasts, and those seeking a genuine Central Asian dining experience.

The restaurant’s main draw lies in its expertly prepared grilled meats. From tender lamb ribs to juicy New York strip and ribeye steaks, every cut is cooked with precision and care. Notably, their shashlik captures the essence of Uzbek grilling — smoky, succulent, and balanced perfectly with fresh accompaniments. The Anor Burger, made from Kobe beef, represents a modern twist while staying true to quality ingredients.

Beyond the grill, the menu offers refreshing and authentic beverages, including traditional compote and Soviet-style sodas, complementing the savory dishes elegantly. Vegetable sides and salads, like the eggplant salad, add freshness and depth, showcasing seasonal produce that elevates the overall meal.

The space itself, although modest in size, is designed for comfort and conviviality. A single main hall houses tables and a private cabin suitable for intimate gatherings, with a small dance area adding a unique touch for social events. This layout makes it a versatile choice for both casual dining and special occasions.

Visitors repeatedly praise the attentive and friendly service, enhancing the welcoming vibe. Families appreciate the children's menu, which simplifies the dining experience for younger guests without compromising on taste.

Overall, Anor Restaurant stands out as a hidden gem in Brooklyn’s diverse culinary scene. It seamlessly blends cultural authenticity with a contemporary touch, making it a must-visit for those eager to explore the rich flavors of Uzbekistan in a relaxed and authentic setting.

Me and my son went to this place July 13th. It is pretty small restaurant, but inside it is clean, nice and cozy. One main hall with tables and shaded cabin for 10 people. There is a small area for dance poll. We ordered: pilaf (it was very good, the meat was so juicy and tender, melts in the mouth) 2 liver shish kebab, was good as well Salad with eggplants ( I love it!!! Delicious) A jug of kompot (also very good, not too sweet and refreshing) Ice-cream for my son and medovik cake (was not bad) The portions were pretty good and actually, everything that we ordered will be pretty enough for 3 people I paid approximately 75$ Service was very good, quick and servants were attentive.

This restaurant is truly one of the best I’ve experienced! It’s been a long time since I’ve had food that captures the authentic taste of Uzbekistan so perfectly—especially the shashlik, which reminded me of home. Every dish on the menu offers a unique yet genuinely authentic taste. You’ll never leave hungry. The service was outstanding, especially for a newly opened establishment, and my family had a wonderful time. Thank you for an unforgettable meal! Will deff come back!

We visited this restaurant recently, and everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered a variety of kebabs — lamb rib, chunks of beef, ground meat, and liver. Everything was juicy and flavorful. I haven’t had kebabs this good in a long time. It brought back memories of the taste of kebabs I used to eat in Uzbekistan — truly nostalgic and authentic. I can also recommend the salads. We ordered three different ones, and all of them were fresh and very tasty. The service was excellent. A young woman ( I can’t remember her name)served us — she was very kind, attentive, and polite. I give this restaurant five stars and highly recommend it to everyone!

Excellent meal. The meat is delicious but the vegetable dishes were equally impressive. The tomatoes in the pickled vegetable selection must come from a nearby garden, amazing quality and great service. Presentation terrific as well. Thank you!!! We will return.
